Email Signature Generator​ Guide
If you get an error logging in:
- Make sure your browser allows pop-ups for the following url: https://asd20-email-signature-generator.netlify.app
- You may need to restart your browser, or clear your browser's cache
Fill Out the Form
- The form should populate with information from Workday. If your information does not show up automatically, fill in the form as needed.
- Select your school from the pull-down menu at the top left.
- Make sure your extension number contains only numbers (don't add an 'x').
- Enter a mobile or fax number if desired.
- If you use a calendar service to allow others to book calendar time with you, enter the full url (inlcuding https://) in the Calendar Link box. A cooresponding "Book calendar time with me" link will be shown on your signature.
- Choose additional information you would like on your signature from the list of buttons at the bottom (address, values, pronouns.)
- Two signatures will be generated. One is large and has all of your information, the other is for replies and just has your name and title. Copy either signature using the Copy Signature button.
Configure a Main Signature
If you are using an older version of the desktop version of Outlook:
- Use the Copy Signature button under "Email Signature" to copy the main signature to your clipboard.
- In your Microsoft Outook Application, go to Settings and choose Signatures.
- Here you can edit an existing signature or create a new one.
- Paste the email signature into your new or edited signature. For best results, right click and select Paste > Keep Original Formatting.
- Save your changes.
If you are using the the a newer version of desktop Outlook or the online (O365) version:
- Use the Copy Signature button under "Email Signature" to copy the main signature to your clipboard.
- In the online version of Microsoft Outook, go to Settings (gear button) at the upper right and choose Account, then Signatures.
- Here you can edit an existing signature or create a new one.
- Paste the email signature into your new or edited signature. For best results, right click and select Paste > Keep Original Formatting.
- Closing the dialog box will prompt you to save your signature.
Configure a Reply Signature (optional)
If you don't want to have a large signature every time you respond to an email, you can configure a smaller one for reply emails.
- Copy the reply signature using the "Copy Signature" button under "Reply Signature".
- Create another new signature in Outlook following the process above.
- In the Email Signature Menu, next to Replies/Forwards, choose the name of the small version of your signature.
- Save your changes.
Final Notes
- Please do not alter the signature, or add your own images, logos, or quotes.
- If the logo image doesn't paste correctly (too large or too small), try using a different browser (Chrome or Firefox).
